Lost Gardens of Heligan Spring 2011

Picture of barn owl at heligan gardens

The amazing gardens at Heligan never cease to give pleasure, and this year is going to be no exception. They've recently launched the Heligan Wild web site, and have live web cams of barn owls,  and a tawny owl chick.

The gardens, just like the rest of Cornwall and most of the UK have been brought on by one of the hottest Aprils on record, with the asparagus plants comingon early, and the De Jager Tulips coming on early as well.

See our Heligan page for some more information and links.

Trengwainton Gardens Spring 2011

This amazing 25 acre garden, managed by the National trust,  never ceases to give pleasure.  At this time of year the daffodils are going over, but there are still azaleas and rhododenrons a plenty.  The garden is just off the A30, near to Penzance, and well worth a visit.  The tea rooms do food to die for, and they have won numerous local awards for the quality and taste.

They are closed Friday – Saturday during peak season,  and closed most of the winter.

Address: Madron, near Penzance, Cornwall TR20 8RZ
